Historically, the Valley has attracted a large labor force that is readily available and willing to work. The area has shopping choices comparable to other major metropolitan areas much larger than ours.
Agriculture in the area includes orchards, grapes, hops, and field crops. A significant portion of Washington apples and cherries are grown in the valley, as well as most of the United States's hops. As you are probably aware, the wine industry has grown rapidly in the area.
